Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of care and support services for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). They are seeking passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker’s to join their team in Redditch. The role involves playing a crucial part in providing care, guidance, and support to children and young people with EBD within their 4-bedded residential home. You will work closely with the children, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to create a positive and nurturing environment conducive to their development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct care and support to children and young people with EBD in a residential setting.

* Implement individual care plans, tailored to the needs of each child, under the guidance of senior staff and professionals.

* Foster positive relationships with the children, promoting trust, respect, and emotional well-being.

* Support children in daily activities, including personal care, education, recreational activities, and life skills development.

* Actively engage with children to encourage participation in therapeutic interventions and activities designed to promote social, emotional, and behavioural development.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes.

* Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, social workers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for the children.

* Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting.

* A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable children.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and families.

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties as required.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.

* Willingness to undergo relevant training and continuous professional development.

* A full UK Driving License.
