Job Description

Are you an experienced Electrical and Controls Technician looking for a new opportunity? We have an exclusive opening with our client based in Essex. They are seeking a skilled individual to join their team on a permanent basis. If you have the relevant qualifications and experience, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Role:

Day-shift Monday to Friday with on-call rota and potential overtime.
Support maintenance and compliance by providing preventative inspection of electrical and control equipment.
Maintain and repair complex electrical and control systems on-site.
Execute preventative plant maintenance on various equipment.Responsibilities:

Undertake maintenance, repair, and modification activities on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Manage routine inspections and maintenance to ensure statutory compliance.
Plan work on-site, including managing contractors, to ensure tasks are carried out effectively and safely.
Maintain detailed documentation of inspections and modification activity.
Adhere to policies, procedures, permits, and licences.
Comply with ISO (phone number removed), and 18001 processes/procedures.
Act in accordance with COMAH safety report and Emergency Plan requirements.Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

Strong electrical skills and preferably some controls experience.
BTech, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification with an electrical bias.
17th or 18th Edition and/or CompEX certificate.
Experience with electrical systems maintenance and testing in hazardous areas.
Experience working on major shutdowns.
Good communication, record-keeping, and analytical skills.
Formal Health and Safety training (advantageous).
