Job Description

Based in Henley on Thames with excellent transport links into Reading, and in the heart of London near Bank station, our client is a leading independent practice who specialise in advising ambitious entrepreneurial businesses.

They are looking for an Associate Director to join their award-winning corporate finance team. The ideal Candidate will enjoy a consistent and quality deal flow and will have an exceptional track record of completing transactions.

You will be expected to show the right kind of attitude to work and life, the aptitude to learn, develop and take responsibility and the ability to undertake the range of work offered.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting directly to, and working closely with, a Partner, the ideal candidate will be a senior member of a dynamic team advising small to midsize businesses and their owners and management considering a range of transactions including MBO’s, acquisitions, disposals and growth capital funding predominantly in the £5m to £50m deal size range.

The person appointed will become the central day to day point of contact for all parties involved in the transaction and will need to understand and take ownership of key aspects of a transaction including drafting of Information Memoranda, modelling and project management/deal execution.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will

* Be a high performer with a strong academic background and at least four years corporate finance .

* Have experience within a major accountancy practice, corporate finance boutique or investment bank.

* ACA/ACCA qualification preferred but not essential.

* Have an exceptional work ethic.

* Be able to demonstrate commercial awareness.

* Have strong analytical skills.

* Have the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital along with the ability to quickly build relationships based on trust with a wide range of people including business owners and other professionals.

Working as part of a small team on a strong and consistent deal flow and closely with a highly experienced partner, there will be the opportunity to gain significant corporate finance experience and rapid career progression
