Business Intelligence Analyst, SQL, Bolton, Greater Manchester to £50,000 (Hybrid working)

A leading ecommerce house in Bolton, Greater Manchester are requiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their thriving team. You will be a confident enthusiastic and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with at least 5 years of experience. You have a desire to build and own solutions and a team to further develop the BI function within an established, market leading organisation. You have a desire to explore the latest technologies such as Machine Learning and AI to enhance the Business Intelligence capability of the business. Able to translate business needs into agreed requirements and build solutions that meet those needs. You communicate effectively at all levels and help others to do the same.

You will:

• Support the business in their ability to make effective decisions, through accurate, concise, and timely data and insights.

• You will recognise business needs and work closely with Stakeholders to prioritise requirements, add value to outputs and manage customer expectations

• You will define data structures within the BI environments and be able to ingest data sets provided into the target structures, which in turn will support the reporting and analysis needs.

• You will also act as a professional subject matter expert for the business.

Your skills:

• Stakeholder management

• Backlog management

• Requirement capture and refinement

• People management/leadership and development

• Understand and write complex SQL queries.

• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.

• Knowledge of data engineering processes, including transformation and mapping, and query optimisation.

• Experience in using data visualisation tools (preferably Looker).

• Detailed and comprehensive analysis. Present the findings back to the stakeholder.

• Strong team working and collaboration skills within a small team
