Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for Technicians on a permanent basis, who have comprehensive electrical fault-finding, diagnosis and repair knowledge, who would like the opportunity to work on trains and be part of a 15 year maintenance contract for Irish Rail.

You will be working for a company that have become international market leaders in the design, manufacture, maintenance and supply of equipment and components for rail systems. The Company has a significant presence throughout the UK.

Location (s): Belfast, Northern Ireland

Shifts:

2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights (rotating pattern)

Days- 07:30- 16:00

Nights- 10:00-06:30

Guard Duty- Sunday- roughly once per 6weeks- 07:30-16:00 (paid at usual shift rate, given a day off in lieu in the week- can be flexible to pick a day as long as team coverage)

Key Role and Responsibilities

Electrical and mechanical repairs on rolling stock vehicles
Preventative and corrective maintenance to the fleet
Follow electrical schematic diagrams and use hand tools to diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete mechanical maintenance tasks
Perform corrective actions on trains in a depot environment, adhering to all safety procedures, and using electronic management systems.
The Candidate

Must have experience using electrical testing equipment and following electrical schematic diagrams to diagnose and rectify faults.

Essentials

A full driving license and own transportation 
Must be happy to work shifts (stated above)
NVQ Level 3 minimum/equivalent 
Engineering experience in a dual-skilled or electrical capacity 
Comfortable using a variety of power tools
Pneumatics / hydraulics experience 
Desirable's

Rolling Stock experience
