Support Worker in Redditch - CV-Library

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our client in Redditch, providing care and support to an individual diagnosed with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). The role will involve working closely with the individual to promote their wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing one-to-one support to the individual with daily activities.

* Assisting with emotional regulation techniques and coping strategies.

* Monitoring and managing self-injurious behaviours with sensitivity and care.

* Encouraging engagement in therapeutic activities and promoting positive social interactions.

* Accompanying the individual to appointments and activities outside the service.

* Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records.

* Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements:

* Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health.

* Understanding and empathy towards the challenges faced by individuals with EUPD.

* Ability to remain calm and composed in potentially stressful situations.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Must be a driver with a valid UK driving license.

* Relevant qualifications in health and social care are advantageous.
