Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a leading manufacturer of innovative measurement sensors range.
The Electronic range encompasses specialist level sensing, condition monitoring, position sensors and engine control products for the process control, utilities, off-highway, motorsport and defence markets.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising the production process and ensuring the quality and efficiency of electronic products.
Salary: This position comes with a very competitive market related salary and comprehensive benefits package. Please call Alan for more details on both.
Hours of work: - 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Hours are flexible and to be agreed, generally between: 8am - 4pm, or 8.30am - 4.30pm or 9am - 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures.
* Design and improve manufacturing layouts to optimise workflow and productivity.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
* Strong background and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, PCB assembly, and testing.
* Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting problems as they arise.
* Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing protocols.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
* Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the electronics industry.
* Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
