Location: Kettering

Competitive Salary: £33K

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Night Shift Hours: 7pm - 5am and 8pm - 6am (rotation basis, Monday - Friday)

We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Maintenance Assistant in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

Our client, a leading player in the recycling industry, is expanding its services and requires a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the smooth operation of their bespoke facility.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and repair machinery and conveyor belts with support from maintenance managers.

* Adhere to service schedules for machinery according to manufacturer guidelines and our maintenance management system.

* Conduct daily checks on equipment and maintain accurate spare parts inventory.

* Report any issues to the Maintenance Manager or Site Ops Manager.

* Ensure sufficient stock of supplies on-site and maintain a tidy work area.

* Report any safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

* Provide handover to the next shift as per site-specific templates.

* Complete ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills Required:

* Knowledge of optical sorters, ballistic separators, and conveyor belts is preferred.

* Basic Health and Safety knowledge is desirable.

* Ability to troubleshoot plant issues urgently.

* Proactive and able to work well under pressure.

* Industry experience is advantageous.

* Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
