Supply Chain Planner

Location: Telford

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 – Depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation based in Telford experiencing continued year on year growth. Supporting the Supply Chain Manager, you will be a senior member of the Supply Chain department and be responsible for ensuring the fulfilment of product requirements for the business’s key customers.

Their supply chain team have been a key factor in building amazing relationships with their customers and suppliers, so you would be joining a valued and critical department within the business team are critical to their success, so you would be part of a valued department.

What you will be getting involved in as the Supply Chain Planner?

You will be supporting not only the Supply Chain Team but also the wider business operations team in:

* Forecasting, demand planning and ensuring purchase orders are raised with their global supplier base and manufacturers

* Developing robust relationships with suppliers

* Managing Supplier performance

* Effective expediting and de-expediting of stock

* Utilising sales and supplier data to guide effective decisions around purchasing stock

* Making sure supplier issues are avoided, or if unavoidable are resolved quickly

What experience will you need?

* Previous experience in a similar role within Supply Chain / Supply Planning / Inventory Management / Purchasing of finished products/components

* Strong background in forecasting for high volumes of SKU’s

* Previous experience of managing an international supply chain (preferably far east)

* An excellent grasp of international trading principles and an understanding of UK/EU customs requirements

* Excellent ability with MS Excel and ability to use it’s data analysis functions

* Strong understanding of effective stock management principles and impacting factors and risks
