Healthcare Practitioner – Orford, Warrington – PERMANENT - £13.50 per hour

Overview:

You would need to be a driver with a full UK driving licence.

40 hours per week (pro-rata) – over a 7-day rota including evening and weekend shifts x 52 weeks.

On call duties as required and by agreement.

You will support the service manager by leading the day to day management of a shift. You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the 6 Service Users.

Essential Requirements:

* 3 years minimum experience of working with Service Users (Children and Young People) who have Learning and or Physical Disabilities is essential within a clinical or complex health setting.

* Knowledge/experience of children / vulnerable young people who have complex needs relevant to service.

* Displays initiative, approachability, sensitivity and an awareness to multi-cultural issues.

* Have knowledge of current legislation.

* Relevant qualification to the post in childcare / social work or related subject.

* Experience of disability, medical, mental health and/or associated complex needs relevant to service.

* Experience of administering medication.

* Ability and commitment to manage and support staff to enable cohesive and effective team working.

Duties will include:

* To act as a member of the team and assist the management in giving the highest standard of care possible to all the children/young people, closely following individual plans, risk assessments and programmes in place.

* To deliver guided clinical support and undertake clinical observations using support plans and relevant clinical training.

* To understand the importance of the need for confidentiality in all clients matters at all times.

* To act as a role model in conjunction with colleagues to ensure yours and their welfare and create a safe, clean and secure environment for all children/young people and relatives.

* To take overall responsibility in ensuring the running of the home is to its highest possible standard, coordinating the shift, allocating child supervision and prioritising care
