Job Description

The Opportunity:

As Finance Manager, you will report financial data for the site in a timely accurate manner to enable key financial decisions, and supporting a finance ream of five.

Some of the responsibilities for this successful individual would be but not limited to:

* Responsible for the production of timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly site reports and P&L. This will be both internally at site and externally to the central finance function offsite, to enable key business decisions

* Produce flash forecasts and report of the site’s financial performance, incl. relevant KPI’s

* Understand gross margins within the costings, along with product costings used by the Sales

* Identifying where variances may arise and drive improvement in weekly reporting

* Work closely and collaboratively with site management to ensure delivery of site profit and KPI targets

* Management and leadership of the finance control function within

* Creation and monitoring of operational KPI’s that support the performance of the department

* Proactively drive continuous improvement by supporting the Financial Controller in identifying and driving continuous improvements, around process and control. Have a "can-do" attitude, particularly looking to challenge the status quo

* Provide financial input to the preparation, challenge, justification and appraisal of capital projects. Monitor and appraise the post-implementation review following all capital projects' completion to assess the investment's effectiveness

* Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships across the business

* Preparation of regular and ad-hoc analysis, reporting and presentations for the FD, group and external stakeholders

* Closely monitor the site cashflow, incl. challenging payment terms, and helping maintain low debtors days within the working capital cycle

* Own the sites budgeting process, incl. but not limited to - Annual Budget, 3+9 Budget 6+6 and ad hoc reforecast request, incl. full P&L, Balance sheet and Cashflow packs

* Work closely with the commercial team to ensure costs are sufficiently recovered, challenging and working as a business partner, ensuring new launches and delists are correctly managed

* Ensure correct accounting records are kept and accurate, oversee Balance Sheet Recs at period close presenting to Financial Controller with relevant supporting documentation in collaboration with Financial Accountant

* Deputise for Financial Controller in times of annual leave and absence

The Candidate:

The successful Finance Manager will be/have:

* Be a fully Qualified Accountant - (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW)

* Ideally you will be from a Manufacturing background or related industry

* Be an excellent communicator at all levels

* Able to prioritise and have great time management

* Be a strong team player, able to work with colleagues collaboratively as ‘One Team’

* Organised and detail orientated

* Working knowledge of Financial / Operational processes

* Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft office skills would be an advantage
