Job Description

Health & Safety Coordinator

Salary: £35,000 + flexible benefits

Based in the Brentwood office (and covering buildings in Essex and parts of London all north of the river)

Hours: 9am - 5pm

Do you have experience coordinating and maintaining a health and safety service across multiple locations? Our client, a well-established organisation in Brentwood, is looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join their property team. You mission will be to make a real impact on the well-being of the organisation and the preservation of their historical sites. Our client is looking for someone who is able to communicate well with a persuasive but gentle nature, to ensure great working relationships.

Responsibilities:

Your role will be to ensure the implementation of a strong health & safety culture throughout the organisation. However, you will not be the sole competent person in health & safety as you will be working closely with a consultancy.
You will act as a focal point for guidance and training in health and safety matters.
You will be spending some of your time visiting our diverse range of beautiful historical buildings, assisting with Health & Safety regulations.
Your key responsibility will be to engage with the least involved locations, helping them understand the importance of health & safety and guiding them towards compliance. This will include conducting drop-in clinics and webinars in the evenings, so some flexibility is required.
You will also be involved in managing contractors, including bringing them in and ensuring their adherence to safety protocols. Basic knowledge of CDM, risk profiles, and the ability to escalate issues only when absolutely necessary will be essential. Please apply online without delay. For a comprehensive job description, please contact Clare, Denise or Alex at Adecco Romford (option 2).
