ITS Plant - Electrical engineer

Are you looking to progress your career by working on Britain’s biggest construction project? Balfour Beatty VINCI is working with a range of organisations to design and build 90km West Midlands stretch of HS2 - Britain’s new high speed railway.. Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we’re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you’d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Electrical Engineer within the Plant Team.

What you'll do:

Assist the Head of BBV Electric

- Sourcing of electrical parts

- Electrical representative for BBV to Support the electrical manager and Sublots with costings and forecast budget report on time labour and manpower with electrical equipment maintenance and installation costings.

- Organisation of the spare parts ordering and cost control and functionality and running off electrical app system with new software up-dates and improvements.

- Organisation of additional training needs to up-skill electrical engineers department’s Needs.

- Assist the electrical department manager with financial cost control, departments presentations and capex budget and full KPI reporting to BBV asset manager.

- Assist with fortnightly meetings and minute reports.

- Checking of stock inventory and stock overhead cost with Logistics stores manager and submit monthly reports.

The following qualities/experience are essential:

• General engineer having interest in Electrical maintenance field.

• Experience in construction industry

About Balfour Beatty VINCI
