Job Description

Maintenance Technician - Based Poole

As a maintenance technician, you will be a time served Apprentice or be qualified by experience and a skilled maintenance technician in either mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical bias and able to demonstrate experience of working within a machine shop environment.

As a “hands on” maintenance technician, you will be responsible for performing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, buildings, and facilities onsite whilst maintaining and improving all aspects of the operational site.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate practical experience in fault finding within a machine shop environment with an ability to repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Working Double Day Shifts

2 weeks - Monday to Thursday - 6am to 2.15pm and Friday 6am to 12pm

2 weeks - 2.15pm to 10.15pm and Friday 12pm to 7.30pm

All overtime paid after 37 hours

Basic salary £48,000 includes shift allowance - excellent benefits and pension

Candidate

* Practical ability to fault find from electrical/mechanical drawings or PLC systems relating to hydraulic or pneumatic circuits, knowledge of (TPM/PPM / RCM) is highly desirable.

* Ability to demonstrate a positive, pro-active, can-do attitude and work calmly under pressure.

* Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

* Committed to work to deadlines and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion.

* High level of attention to detail with the desire to progress, succeed, and ability to work as part of a team or work independently.

* Computer literate – MS Office skills

Duties

* Fault finding within the machine shop environment, repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as appropriate.

* Conduct planned preventative maintenance checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule.

* Conduct complete site maintenance for all aspects and areas of the site, maintaining a high standard of site facilities and the overall site environment/appearance.

* Conduct best practice and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement with regards to plant and equipment reliability.
