CNC Turner - Setter/Operator/Programmer

Salary: £16 - 18 ph / £33,280 - £37,440 pa doe
Hours: 40 per week - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45, and Friday 08:00 to 15:30.
Half hour lunch. Overtime is often available (paid at tome and a third and time and half on weekends)

We at Syntech are looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join a prestigious production specialist that works in the aerospace, defence and oil and gas sectors. Due to continued growth, my client is looking for skilled CNC Turners/Programmers to join their team. One stage interview, meet the hiring manager have a walk around the facility!

CNC Turner Duties:

Set, operate and program CNC machines using Fanuc controls. Machines such as - Puma, Doosan, Hardinge, Harrison lathe (primarily 2 axis).
Produce high quality machined parts in accordance with work instructions and drawings, ensuring that all specifications, quality expectations and inspection requirements are understood prior to commencing jobs and that any issues are reported to the Team Leader at the earliest opportunity.
Complete NCR form for all non-conforming parts produced, ensuring details are logged clearly and explained fully.
Utilise tooling effectively, ensuring that any needs are communicated promptly.
CNC Turner Profile:

Strong mechanical knowledge and an understanding of CNC turning processes.
Understanding of FANUC controllers and their functions in CNC 2 axis lathes.
Familiarity with materials handling, with the machining of exotic materials an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings and work specifications/instructions.
Ability to effectively use hand tools for machine setup and maintenance.
Ability to understand and use all types of measuring equipment.
