Role: Chemical Process Engineer - Contract

Location: Hybrid (2 days home / 3 days office) 

Rate: £45-50/hr – Outside of IR35 

As a Chemical Process Engineer with our client, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing processes within the fine chemical industrial sector. This is a contract position, initially for 3-6 months with the potential for a long-term ongoing commitment.

Responsibilities:

Development of PFD/PID and process descriptions.
Creation of control philosophies and process equipment data sheets.
Preparation of process schedules for pipelines, valve instruments, etc.
Conducting process 'sizing' calculations and attending HAZOP meetings.
Collaborating closely with other engineering disciplines including piping, layout, electrical, control, and instrumentation.
Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients and other disciplines.
Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas for client visits and site surveys, without extended stays away from home.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large green/brown field projects to smaller 'cut and carve' projects.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
Proficiency in design within the fine chemical industrial sector.
Strong technical skills in PFD/PID development, process descriptions, and control philosophies.
Excellent communication skills for effective client and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Capacity to manage varied projects simultaneously and adapt to changing project scopes.
