Job Title: Part Time Health and Safety Compliance Manager
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (Pro Rota) Based on experience
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 24hoursOverview:

HRGO Recruitment are looking for a Group QEH&S Compliance Manager for a Metal Recycling and Waste Handling company based in Hailsham. The Group QEH&S Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's quality, environment, health, and safety compliance programs across all business units and locations. Reporting to the Senior Management, the successful candidate will ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with local, national, and international regulations, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

To remain updated on relevant QEH&S laws and regulations and apply them to company practices to minimize QEH&S risks.
To ensure and manage the QEH&S compliance of all Company sites and to all necessary requirements, accreditation and certification as required to run and operate as Metal Recycling Yards.
To act as the Companies Technically Competent Manager is all aspects of QEH&S.
Conduct quarterly and annual reviews to monitor adherence to statutory regulations and Company Policies, Process and Procedures.
Develop and manage QEH&S compliance strategies and programs for the company based on all relevant statutory laws.
Promote the continuing improvement in QEH&S of all business areas ensuring that all sites meet the relevant statutory requirements.
Identify and assess all potential QEH&S risks and develop plans to minimize or eliminate them and manage the Company risk matrix.
Work with senior management to address all QEH&S compliance issues and assist is in finding solutions.
Maintain the Company Accident & Incident Matrix and provide all necessary reports to senior management.
Support all business functions in the investigation of accidents & incidents and assist in the development of the necessary actions to mitigate reoccurrence.
Maintain the Company ISO certifications and on-going accreditation.
To be the interface between the Company and all necessary Enforcing Authorities.
To set the agenda and sit as the chairman for the quarterly QEH&S Managers Meeting.Requirements:

Education to degree level or working towards and be certified to a relevant regulatory body which relates to the works being undertaken, i.e. IOSH or IEMA etc.
WAMITAB qualified, or willing to work towards.
Flexibility in working location and willing to travel within the Company areas of interest.
Knowledge and experiences of the metal recycling industry.
Very good interpersonal skills.
Very good verbal communication skills.
IT Literate.
