Senior Architectural Technician – Commercial Projects

Location – Lichfield

Benefits:

Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.

Private Healthcare

23 days plus bank holidays.

My client is a strong team of award-winning RIBA chartered architects, with experience working across all sectors of the construction industry throughout the UK. These sectors include commercial, industrial, residential, education, retail, healthcare, leisure, urban planning, heritage, conservation and ecclesiastical.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established architectural practice with plenty of potential to grow and develop as you continue your in career.

This opportunity would also include working alongside the wider team within the commercial and conservation sectors across all RIBA stages.

Experience and skills required:

* A minimum of 7+ years post qualification UK based experience with solid knowledge of current and up to date UK Building Regulations

* Revit proficiency essential (AutoCAD and NBS Create desirable).

* Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and detailed working drawing packages.

* Excellent detailing skills.

* Collating, organising, investigating and producing technical information for use during the development of the project design.

* Excellent co-ordination skills between consultants.

* Previous residential experience preferred but not essential.

* Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, MCIAT would be desirable but not essential. Training and mentoring opportunities to achieve accreditations would be available.

* Strong presentation and communication skills desirable.

* Confident to attend site meetings and chair design team meetings.

* Attend site meetings as well as design team meetings.

* Ability to lead new projects from concept to completion as part of a team.

* Job running experience.

* Work collaboratively with the team and support more junior members of staff.

It is essential that all work examples/portfolios clearly demonstrate the above skills, most notably construction detailing and a clear understanding of UK building regulations
