Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Salary: Competitive plus bonus scheme and Veolia benefits

Hours: 3 week rolling rota (days), including weekends and bank holidays

Location: Area 6 Oceanic Way, Marchwood Industrial Park, MarchwoodHampshire

SO40 4BD

What you'll be doing;

Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on; overhead cranes, grabs, inverters, battery and UPS systems, transformers, 415V and 11kV switch-gear and protective devices, generator AVR and excitation systems

Supervise company staff and contractors on site

To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate

To propose and develop modifications to plant / apparatus

Carry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits

Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by Management

What we're looking for;

Having serviced a recognised apprenticeship or similar qualification in the relevant field

Understanding of, and ability to interface with P.L.C. systems

Must be able to demonstrate competence in the use of electrical test equipment, workshop tools, drilling machines, lathes and bench fitting equipment

Understanding of, and ability to diagnose faults on Electrical & Mechanical systems
