Location: Haverfordwest
Hours: Full Time
Type: Permanent

Our client: Our Client, a leading supplier of sustainably sourced products are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join their friendly team in Haverfordwest.
 
Job Description/ The role: The Laboratory Technician will assist with quality auditing, sampling, and testing to help manage the company’s daily processing of dairy produce. Work closely with key internal colleagues and external partners to ensure out statutory obligations are met.
To focus on monitoring, recording, and instructing others on food quality and product performance.
To assist the wider technical team in carrying out daily tasks, implementing GMP practices throughout site and supporting compliance to company policies and procedures and relevant legislation relating to food quality and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Completion of audits, including but not limited to traceability tests, internal audit, GMP audits, glass, and hard plastics audit according to the issued schedules. Where non- conformities are identified through audits, you will be responsible for logging these.
Collect samples during the process and of finished products for analysis. Log samples onto laboratory systems for testing.
Complete swabbing according to issued schedule.
Operation of laboratory equipment and completion of laboratory testing.
Internal calibration and verification of equipment such as scales
Manage non-conforming product, ensuring that all non-conforming product is identified, placed on hold, and recorded.
Accurate record keeping of all results and audits using both paperwork and computer-based systems.
Completion of raw material sampling, including verification of printed packaging such as films and labels ensuring that out of specification results are communicated to the Technical Manager.
Conduct quality training with employees when required.
Operate a clean as you go regime within their area of responsibility.
