Crop Protection Operative in Runcton - CV-Library

Are you passionate about plant health and sustainability? We're seeking a skilled Crop Protection Operative to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the health and vitality of our herbs.

As a Crop Protection Operative, you'll be responsible for conducting day-to-day spray and biological applications, identifying and investigating pest and disease issues, and contributing to the development of pest and disease control strategies. If you have experience in protected plant production systems, excellent observation skills, and a caring attitude towards your work, we want to hear from you!

Your Key Responsibilities in this role would be:

Applying biological control products and pesticides safely and efficiently.
Identifying and reporting pest and disease presence.
Assisting in planning spray application programmes.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records and paperwork.
Providing assistance in other areas within crop production as needed. 

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about plants as much as they are about sustainability. You’ll need to be physically fit as this role involves you being on your feet for the majority of your shift and have great attention to detail when caring for our crops. It would be a great advantage if you had previous experience in protected plant production systems or an awareness of pest management principles.

This is a full-time permanent position working within our beautiful greenhouses at our Vitacress Herbs site in Runcton, Chichester. You will work Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm and earn a salary of up to £27,000 (depending on experience) We also offer a wide range of employee benefits to include:
