They are now looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their Sourcing Team – playing a vital role in enhancing departmental and overall company performance.

As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll be instrumental in supporting the Sourcing Team through a variety of administrative and tactical activities. Your collaborative spirit will contribute to the overall improvement of the department's performance, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of all operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Utilize ERP systems to generate and analyse reports regularly.

* Send out requests for quotations in alignment with daily MRP lists.

* Raise both manual and automatic purchase orders with precision.

* Collaborate daily with Scheduling and Expediting teams to uphold supplier delivery performance.

* Liaise regularly with Finance to maintain a 90% first-pass rate for supplier invoices and resolve queries promptly.

* Cultivate strong supplier relationships through effective communication via phone, email, and occasional face-to-face meetings.

* Manage the transactional responsibility for new vendor creation and maintain supplier databases with current information.

* Maintain the item parts master, including pricing and lead-time details.

* Refresh and upload supplier price files accurately.

* Address queries related to purchase orders promptly and efficiently.

* Produce insightful weekly and monthly KPI reports for management review.

* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experienced in ERP/MRP systems.

* Skilled in streamlining processes, building internal relationships, and manipulating and presenting data in various formats.
