QA & Lab Technician
Harrogate, £29,000, on-site parking, 4 x salary life cover, private medical, ongoing training and development, 33 days holiday, bonus scheme.

We require a QA & Lab Technician to work for an FMCG manufacturer in the Harrogate area. In this role, you will be responsible for working within the microbiology lab facility undertaking quality assurance, testing and working with production to ensure standards.

The role will include:
·Conducting microbiological testing in line with testing procedures
·Carrying out regular quality assurance line-audits of the product, including all aspects of quality and packaging
·Completing site hygiene surveys of plant and personnel in accordance with the schedule
·Conducting regular quality checks of finished products
·Maintaining accurate written and electronic records of all activities and to ensure that high personal hygiene standards are maintained and documented in the QMS
·Collating technical data
·Reading, interpreting, effectively documenting, and communicating the results of all samples for analysis on both electronic and written quality assurance records
·Conducting complaint investigations and document findings
·Completing equipment calibrations, and maintaining relevant records, according to the calibration schedule
·Liaising effectively and professionally with other departments and people within the business.

As the Laboratory/ Quality Assurance Technician you will:
·Have confident Microbiological and chemical-based testing experience
·Ideally come from a food manufacturing background or similar
·Have confident Micro-testing experience
·HNC, HND, or degree in a science is preferred but not essential
·Have excellent attention to detail and great communication skills (verbal and written)
·Ideally hold a relevant science qualification or have transferable skills
·Able to work on own initiative with minimal guidance
·Be very organised and able to prioritise tasks
·Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

40 hours/ week doing a mixture of early late and mid shifts including Saturday and Sunday work.
