Bookkeeper

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper? Looking to join a successful and modern accounting practice?

Major Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper on behalf of our client, a modern independent accountancy firm based in Wimborne, Dorset. This full time permanent role is office based but there is the opportunity to turn this into hybrid after an initial settling in period.

This is an opportunity to take up the role of Bookkeeper in a company that are on a mission to grow and develop and ensure their clients have a first-class service.

Main responsibilities of a Bookkeeper

Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Bank and card reconciliations, Posting of depreciation, prepayments, and accruals.
Experience using Xero and Sage would be ideal but not essential.
Payroll knowledge and or experience of processingWhat does it take to be a successful Bookkeeper?

Demonstrable Bookkeeping experience (in a practice environment)
AAT qualified or part qualified
Knowledge of CIS returns would be beneficial but not essential.
Strong administration, organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent IT skills - Microsoft products (mainly Excel & Word).What's in it for you?
