About the Employer:

Based in Bucks, Our client is a multi-disciplined Sub-Contractor specialising in, Façade systems, Dry Lining, Decorating, Tiling and Fire stopping who have built an outstanding industry reputation on delivering first class construction packages within various sectors of industry including, High End Residential, Commercial, Leisure and Educational and Health

Throughout their 20 year establishment they’ve spearheaded the industry with dynamic approach and have built / maintained strong client relationships with some of the UK’s largest construction firms including Kier, Galliford Try, Multiplex and McLaren. They currently have an annual turnover circa £50m and our clients’ prime focus is on packages ranging anything from £1m to £8m, working within London and Surrounding Counties.

About the Opportunity:

Due to high project demand and our client striving for business growth, with thin their Dry Lining Division they’re looking to expand their estimating department by bringing in a new addition to the team with a strategic plan to become a key member of the business.

* Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

* Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies

* Performing risk and value management and cost control

* Able to read drawings and perform take offs

* Advising on procurement strategy

* Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

* Preparing and analysing costings for tenders

* Allocating work to subcontractors

About the benefits / rewards:

You will be well rewarded for your hard work with a remuneration package that will correspond to the individuals experience and skills. The guideline basic salary is £55,000 - £70,000(Negotiable), however this will be dependent upon the specific skills and experience of each individual.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ sub-contractor experienced. Degree qualified preferred. Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious and keen to progress your career further. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. A consistent employment record is essential with at least two years at each employer.
