Assistant Engineering Manager

About the Role:
We're seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager for our Widnes site. The ideal candidate will possess primary experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, educated to HNC level with a minimum of 3 years relevant industrial experience, ideally in automated production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate maintenance of automated concrete production machinery and raw material processing equipment.
* Lead the maintenance team and oversee the Planned Preventative Maintenance scheme.
* Drive process improvement initiatives and manage small-scale projects.
* Procure spare parts and manage stock.
* Contribute to site Health and Safety protocols as a key team member.
The role involves physical activity like lifting heavy machinery parts, navigating ladders and walkways, using hand/pneumatic tools, and wearing PPE, including respiratory gear for some tasks.
