Are you looking to take a step up into bigger-picture general management with a leading Renewable Energy business that can offer both development support and progression opportunities?

This company have been running for several decades now and have played a significant role in the development of such sites across the UK by partnering with a number of high-profile clients and engineering firms. They cover a variety of Renewable Energy disciplines including Heat Pumps, Biomass and Solar, and their plants have multimillion pound valuations.

In this role you will be working closely alongside the site's General Manager to oversee operations & maintenance activities as well as taking a leading role on project work, commercial management, and the organisation of subcontractors for specialist capital projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working at the Supervisor/Team Leader level (or above) in a Power Plant/Power Generation environment where they have been involved in plant operations and/or maintenance. Leading-level Engineers in or formerly from the Forces will also be suitable for this position.

The role:
* Overseeing operations & maintenance work being carried out by internal staff and subcontractors
* Inputting into ongoing and future capital projects being delivered across site
* Inputting into commercial activities, budgeting and financial management
* Monitoring and reviewing plant performance and KPIs to ensure contractual obligations met
* Ensuring site activities are carried out in line with HSE regulations and internal policies
* Maintaining strong relations with key stakeholders including Ofgem, the Environment Agency etc.

The person:
* Previous experience in Power Plant operations or maintenance
* Previous experience working at the Supervisor/Team Leader level or above
* Highly organised and capable of working in a fast-paced industrial environment
* knowledgeable in contract management & experienced in organising subcontractors (desirable)
