Job Description

Farm Solutions Consultant

- £27,000 - £35,000 per annum based on experience

- Location: Remote - Midlands

- Company car, laptop and phone

- Annual leave entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holiday, increasing with length of service up to 28 days plus bank holidays.

Main Purpose of Role:

- To help support LIC’s vision of improving prosperity and the productivity of our farmers by putting customers at the centre of everything LIC does. Your main focus will be to drive sales and solutions to UK dairy farmers while representing our customer’s voice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Meet or exceed team sales targets or expectations.

- Meet the operational deadlines to ensure farmers needs are meet in a timely manner.

- Maximise relationships with existing customers, and actively build relationships with new customers. This includes contacting customers regularly and visiting all new customers within two months of arriving on farm.

- Undertake educational and promotional initiatives with farmers.

- Help improve farmers profitability by developing their herd and cow quality.

- Be passionate about contributing to our growth strategy.

Essential Skills:

- Results focused with track record of selling.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, internally and externally.

- Strong skills in time management and planning to ensure that time is spent effectively, and efficiency gains are made regularly.

- Demonstrate ability to match solutions to customers.

- Experience/ high knowledge of the dairy industry, and strong empathy with farming.

- Confident and effective communication skills

- To be able to thrive in a fast passed, busy environment.

- Adaptable to change.

-Desired skills

- Understanding of New Zealand pasture-based farming systems

- Tertiary qualification in this field is advantageous.

Additional Information:

- As part of your role, you may be required to stay away from home from time to time to attend meetings and events. You may be asked to travel overseas on study tours from time to time.
