Job Description

Legacy Strategies are hiring on behalf of our client in the construction industry for the role of Payroll and HR Administrator. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll and HR Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, HR administration, and supporting recruitment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management:

* Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

* Maintain payroll records and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

2. Excel Proficiency:

* Utilise advanced Excel skills to create and manipulate spreadsheets, including pivot tables, data consolidation, formulas, and macros.

3. Onboarding New Starters:

* Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting inductions and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

4. Right to Work Checks:

* Conduct Right to Work checks for new employees in accordance with legal requirements.

5. Excel Timesheets:

* Manage and maintain Excel timesheets, ensuring accurate recording of employee hours worked.

6. Recruitment Portal Management:

* Administer and manage recruitment portals, including posting job vacancies, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.

7. Internal Audits:

* Conduct internal audits of payroll and HR processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Essential experience and skills:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration.

* Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data consolidation, formulas, and macros.

* Experience in onboarding new starters and conducting Right to Work checks.

* Proficient in managing Excel timesheets.

* Experience in managing recruitment portals.

* Ability to conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with regulations.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with Sage Payroll software (training will be provided).
