Temporary Works Coordinator 

£350-£400 per day (inside IR35)    

18 months contract.

West Yorkshire

A proficient Temporary Works Coordinator is sought to join our client, specialising in rail civil engineering projects throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth coordination and execution of Temporary Works across the construction site. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing the coordination of Temporary Works across the construction site, irrespective of the contractor.
Serving as the single point of contact for the provision and receipt of Temporary Work information.
Coordinating with all contractor and subcontractor Temporary Works Coordinators and Supervisors.
Maintaining an up-to-date Master Register of Temporary Works, identifying, and addressing all temporary work requirements.
Authorising the loading and unloading of temporary works, as well as issuing permits for control.
Collaborating with the project team to ensure accurate design briefs that reflect the actual on-site situation.
Conducting design checks by competent authorities not involved in the original design.
Formalising inspection and test plans, along with quality control checklists, to verify Temporary Works compliance with certified design standards.
Performing thorough checks upon completion of Temporary Works to confirm no adverse effects on Permanent Works, with certification signed by relevant authorities.
Qualifications and Requirements:

To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals with:

Previous experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on a project of a similar scale and complexity.
Current CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
Working knowledge of Temporary work management procedures, particularly BS:5975.
Experience in design and/or engineering management.
A degree in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.
Proven knowledge of Rail standards and approval processes is highly advantageous.
Working knowledge of the CDM 2015 Regulations, especially the Designer and Principal contractor roles.
Chartership or incorporation with IStructE, ICE, or other appropriate professional body.
