Quantity Surveyor

Warrington – Hybrid, Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm

Social Housing Refurbishment

Permanent

£50,000 + Car allowance

Actively looking to appoint a fast paced and progressive Quantity Surveyor to join their existing team.

This is an immediate requirement to run existing schemes across the Northwest areas, Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool areas.

You will collaborate closely with the Operational teams in Warrington whilst covering works in the Northwest, the contracts are typically planned refurbishment works of Tenanted Social Housing properties (typically covering all aspects of refurbishments to properties including Kitchens, bathrooms, doors and roofing replacements) Voids and Sustain works.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

* Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale.

* Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.

* Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.

* Assist in the control of contract budgets.​

* Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects.

* Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client’s representative.

* Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.

* Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.

* Assist in the development of the procurement programme.

* Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.

What you need to succeed

* You will have experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor ​preferably within the Social

Housing sector, your expertise as a Surveyor will give you the knowledge to hit the ground running and contribute effectively to the team, as a person of knowledge and wealth of experience from the Commercial aspect in this sector.

* Knowledge of JCT and Measure Term Contracts is vital to the role..

* You will be an expert with IT with proficient MS office skills.

* Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence as travel is a must with this role.​
