Environmental, Health & Safety Officer in Trench - CV-Library

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time Environmental, Health & Safety Officer role is based in Telford and offers an attractive salary up to £45,000 per annum and benefits package.

We are looking for someone who predominantly has experience on the Environmental side (75%), but we do need someone who also has the Health & Safety experience.

In this Environmental, Health & Safety Officer role, you will promote an environmental, health, and safety awareness and culture to fully achieve compliance with legislation and the company's strategic direction, demonstrating best practices within business constraints. You will also ensure that an Environmental Management System is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO 14001.

To give you an idea of how this Environmental, Health & Safety Officer role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

Support the environment, health, and safety strategic direction of the company and give support in meeting those related objectives
Ensure that an Environmental Management System is established, implemented, and maintained
Report to top management on the performance of H&S metrics and the environmental management system, including recommendations for improvements
Identify and implement energy-saving improvements for the whole facility in line with environmental targets
We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer with prior experience in a similar role. You will also require:

A minimum of 5 GCE's (or equivalent) at Grade C or above which includes Maths & English
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
Fully competent with Microsoft Office packages
Excellent communication skills
