Nursery Assistant Manager

West Sussex

Up to £33,000 per annum + fantastic benefits

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed Nursery Assistant Manager to support with the leadership of highly regarded and well respected nursery ensuring a safe, enjoyable and engaging place to learn for children between 3 months and 5 years old. This is a full-time permanent position with a trusted nursery who are able to offer the successful candidate a fantastic career opportunity along with excellent benefits.

The Organisation

We’ve partnered with a highly regarded and successful nursery based in West Sussex who provide early years education to boys and girls. The school have outstanding feedback from parents in addition to very good rating from their most recent quality inspection and aim to continue safeguarding young children and supporting the local community.

Job Responsibilities

* Ensure that all aspects of the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage and welfare requirements are delivered to the highest standard.

* Planning activities in line with EYFS.

* Provide notable contribution to the nursery occupancy marketing and management.

* Be responsible and assume accountability for the day to day operational running of the nursery in the absence of the manager.

* Develop and maintain policies for review and assessment of each child’s progress.

* Support the nursery manager with any other necessary tasks required for the effective running of the nursery.

Requirements

The successful Nursery Assistant Manager will:

* Hold a relevant childcare or teaching qualification – level 3 minimum

* Have previous experience in a leadership role within early years education

* Previous experience in a nursery is highly advantageous

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills

* Possess a strong understanding of the EYFS and refer to the EYFS Framework to plan activities
