Multi-Skilled Line Operative - Permanent

£24,000 - £25,000 DOE, plus competitive benefits including pension, holiday allowance and salary sacrifice schemes.

We are excited to welcome an experienced Multiskilled Operator to contribute to the success of our new Protein Factory. Full training will be provided to the right candidate, ensuring mastery of our bespoke machinery and processes.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a solid background in machine/process operation to become an integral part of our Protein Extraction Team. As a Multiskilled Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our small-scale plant. The successful candidate can expect their responsibilities to grow in tandem with their expanding knowledge. Additionally, hygiene duties will be part of the role, emphasizing our commitment to maintaining the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

* Handle the unloading and storage of production stock using Forklift Trucks (FLTs).

* Conduct rigorous quality checks on raw materials and protein products.

* Record stock and consumable usage meticulously on relevant logs.

* Ensure the efficient operation of equipment to meet production standards and KPIs.

* Use FLTs to maintain product availability on the production line.

* Apply technical skills to set PLCs to correct settings for optimum equipment performance.

* Execute full hygiene of equipment and the factory area, including assistance during membrane cleans/removal.

* Ensure compliance with operating procedures in line with Health & Safety and technical requirements.

* Collaborate with the Production Lead to maintain standard operating procedures.

* Support the lab/technical team with sample collection.

* Promptly escalate key issues to management for immediate resolution.
