Health & Safety Officer – Crane Hire

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

Position: Full Time – Permanent

Job description

We are looking for a health and safety officer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. We take the safety of our staff, clients and merchandise very carefully, priding ourselves in having some of the best vehicle hire in the UK and Ireland. Becoming the go too crane hire across the country.

You will be joining a growing business with some of the best industry support and training schemes nationwide.

As a Health and Safety Officer you will play a crucial role in our projects by providing expert guidance on various aspects of contract lifting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and Coordination: Taking the lead in planning all aspects of contract lifting, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and British Standards BS7121, LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations), and PUWER regulations.

• Safe System of Work: Developing and implementing a robust Safe System of Work to ensure the safety of our employees and clients during lifting operations.

• Client Collaboration: Representing the company's interests and building strong working relationships while liaising with clients and site representatives.

• Maintain awareness of advances in crane and lifting technology and making recommendations to Contract Lift Manager and Managing Director.

• Working with the cad engineers to implement and inspect crane drawings for health and safety regulations

•Use of CRM system or other suitable systems for capturing, monitoring and communicating work information in conjunction with Hiredesk function.

• Monitor and use of Resource Management System and where necessary input and checking of contract lift work items.

The Ideal candidate:

* Experience or understanding in health and safety for lifting operations on a site involving cranes
