Full-time role with hybrid working patternWe are working with an innovative business, based in Bath, who are growing their sales team and are looking for a Business Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an already experienced sales professional to further their career.

What you’ll be doing

Winning new business opportunities through face to face and virtual meetings, telesales, participation in exhibitions, and understanding potential prospects.
Maintaining a healthy pipeline of prospects and ensure accurate forecasting to drive business growth.
High-level of relationship building to effectively manage and retain the closure of new business.
Providing a consultative approach on clinical insights to develop tailored proposals.
Achieve annual sales targets and monthly quotas, providing regular sales forecasts and updates whilst actively attending internal sales meetings.
Identify opportunities for up-selling services and effectively communicate market and sponsor feedback internally to drive continuous improvement and innovation.What you’ll need to apply

At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales within a consultative, commercial environment in one or more of the following: science industry; scientific publishing; publishing; marketing agency; event sales; distribution sales; other professional sales services; professional services.
A scientific degree or equivalent qualification or professional experience.
Experience and knowledge of the clinical industry.
Track record of new business, account management, and achieving targets.
Excellent communication skills with confidence on the phone and a creative flair to your work.
