Job Description

Are you a Supply Chain Planner looking for a new challenge? SF Recruitment are working with a fantastic high growth business based in Derby looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven, passionate about Supply Chain and looking for a role they can make their own.

This is a full-time permanent role working Monday-Friday. The salary for this role is up to £36,000.

The client is looking for someone who is self-driven and is used to working in a fast-paced environment working to multiple deadlines. Suitable candidates will come from a Supply Chain background with previous experience within a similar role. You will need to be a 'self-starter' and be ok working independently as well as being able to work closely with other internal stakeholders.

Main Duties:
- To provide forecast/demand plans to vendors, whilst providing and sharing KPI's to monitor ongoing performance.
- Providing order forecasts with purchasing team to raise PO's.
- Working closely with freight forwarders to manage deliveries.
- Defining forward order plan and providing visibility to purchasing clerk to ensure core KPI's of stock days, OTIF & availability metrics are achieved.
- Managing long stocks & exit plans, working with commercial team to avoid stock issues.
- Working with vendors to optimise lead time/MOQ/MOV/Stock Days.
- Internal reporting to feed into weekly trading meetings and taking ownership of availability & stock KPI's.
- Supporting vendors to ensure delivery lead times are adhered and availability is maintained.
- Agreeing promotional & new product forecasts with category managers and timely deliveries.

Suitable candidates will have experience with demand planning and forecasting and have experience working with vendors in the Far East. You will need need an analytic thinking style as you will be required to analyse market trends.

You will also need to be confident with Microsoft Office in particular Excel along with experience using ERP/MRP systems. The client is looking for someone who is confident speaking with suppliers and building relationships.
