Join a dynamic and innovative software developer and provider based in the heart of Central London. My client specialises in cutting-edge solutions for our clients, leveraging the power of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive efficiency, scalability, and performance.
We are seeking a talented GCP Engineer to join our team on an initial 6-month contract basis. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with 2 days a week in the office and the remainder remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
Collaborate with development teams to design scalable and resilient cloud-native applications.
Implement automation and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards across GCP environments.
Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a GCP Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing GCP infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and VPC networking.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
Contract Details:
Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office.
Competitive day rate between £500-600 Outside IR35, commensurate with experience and skills.
