We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager.

We have a great opportunity available for a Deputy Service Manager to lead our team based within Gillingham - Kent , on a full time , permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

As our Deputy Service Manager , you will positively support the Registered Manager in providing leadership to the staff team and supporting and facilitating the needs of the service users, in line with our Christian Mission and Values, legislative and regulatory requirements.
In this role you will be:
Supporting the Service Manager in the delivery of high-quality care and support and to deputise when required.
Supervising / managing staff and assisting key workers and support staff and providing staff and service users with relevant advice, support and training and putting your belief in Christ into action as a manager
Facilitating and ensuring effective communication within the service and the wider Trust and ensuring teams are briefed fully
Supporting and where necessary, leading, in the assessment and management of risk.
Assisting in the management of the referral process within the service and to achieve agreed occupancy levels.
Assisting in the management of a fair and equitable rota which ensures that adequate cover is maintained at all times and to play a full part in the service rota.
Ensuring that clients are able to participate as fully as possible in the life of the service and to manage regular service user meetings and facilitate service user inclusion.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work. This person will play a key part in providing strong Christian leadership and will be required to upholdthe Trusts Christian ethos and Christ like culture, aligned with our Christian Identity, and therefore there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.

The Shrubbery is a registered care home for men with multiple and complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues and physical care needs. It offers 28 bedrooms, of which 14 are wheelchair accessible, and 20 are ensuite.
