Remuneration: £25,000 - £35,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the CAD Designer – Architectural and Structural Steelwork will involve:

* Estimator position dealing with a range of architectural and structural steelwork projects such as primary, secondary, canopies, balconies, balustrades, gates, fences, stairs, staircases, steel frames, and mezzanines

* Reading and interpreting Structural Engineer & Architect’s drawings

* 3D CAD Modelling using Creo 7 Parametric

* Completing General Assembly drawings, part drawings and site drawings

* Liaising with clients, structural engineers, architects, and fabricators

* Amending design information and raising variation of services where required

* Working on projects varying in value from £50k to £3m

The ideal applicant will be CAD Designer – Architectural and Structural Steelwork with:

* Must have experience using computer aided design (CAD) software

* Ideally will have experience of Structural / Architectural Steelwork detailing using Advanced Steel or Tekla

* Ideally experienced with architectural metal, steelwork, steel fabrication, balconies, balustrades, gates, fences, stairs, staircases, steel frames, and mezzanines

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team

* IT literate (Microsoft Office)

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
