Job Type: Fixed Term
Location: Police Headquarters, Exeter (Hybrid)
Salary: Grade 7 - Starts at £34,968 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £39,036 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
The Role
Are you keen to utilise your skills in Performance Analysis within a large public sector organisation in a sought-after location? As a Performance Analyst, you would be part of a small team responsible for providing high quality Performance frameworks and reports to provide valuable insights to the organisation. Key Responsibilities
* Provide impartial evidence-based insight and context on all aspects of Force performance in order to support action and continuous performance improvement through the provision of effective performance analysis.
* Manage organisational performance through carrying out primary research and providing accurate and timely reporting thus enabling performance improvement by providing full analysis, identifying good practice and recommendations to influence decision-making at Force, geographic and functional levels.
* Support consultation and report on the perceptions and attitudes of members of the public and staff on a range of subject matters with the aim to understand and make recommendations to deliver service improvements and ensure a quality service is provided to our communities.
* Use structured methods for evaluating data, reports and information provided by the department. This includes quality assuring documents as diverse as a) draft responses to Freedom of Information requests (for external customers/members of public) and b) full analytical reports. A major element of quality assurance is to ensure that any potential consequences of publication are highlighted, allowing an appropriate and prepared response.
* Provide specialist advice and knowledge on performance monitoring and analytical techniques, both qualitative and quantitative.
