About the role

Customers come to us because we can take on and solve any kind of challenge, no matter how complex. Join our Power T&D team as a Project Planner/Planning Engineer.

Location: Middlesbrough; North East location and supporting cabling, OHL and Substation projects. Middlesbrough

Full time hours; 37.5 Monday to Friday. Hybrid working.

Full driving license will be required. 

What you'll be doing

As a Project Planner/Planning Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities:

Responsible for the updating and maintenance of all aspects of the Power T&D Cabling project P6 programme

Plan, structure and maintain an accurate fully logically linked programme in line with the contract requirements

Manage the interface between the programme and the operational staff through structured meetings, programme & progress reporting

Identify programme risks / opportunities and propose mitigation / capture strategies..

Assist with the preparation of the monthly programme report, dashboards and associated supporting information

Ensure the schedule is resourced (plant and personnel) / cost loaded and update to reflect modifications in execution strategy. This will require close work with the project delivery team to regularly maintain the status of the programme

Reporting on key resources including staff; operatives, key plant and equipment, supply chain and other project milestones to allow the project to proceed in accordance with the baseline

Provide the appropriate programming, management and interfaces between business functions and the delivery team to ensure that contractual milestones in all sections of the project delivery programme are understood, monitored and adhered to in a controlled and appropriately timely manner

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

Proven experience of Planning Tools such as Primavera P6 - preferably on Power Transmission projects

Operational experience of construction projects

Working experience of Project Management methodology

Proven ability in working with engineering / operational teams to capture real time progress

APMP Practitioner qualification is desirable
