Junior Support Technician

We currently have a fantastic role for a Junior Support Technician for an advanced technology systems company based in Hedge End, Southampton.

The Junior Support Technician will be working in both the workshop and office and is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within the business and will involve the following:

Main Duties:

* Setting up of and maintenance of test equipment.

* Conducting test of finished product through specialised software and documenting the results.

* PAT/FAT testing of specialised equipment.

* Product assembly.

* Basic fault finding

* Carry out equipment repairs to component level.

* SMT soldering.

* Installation and configuration of Windows.

* Using Disk imaging software.

* Network configuration of static IP addresses

* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, documenting and escalating issues as and when necessary.

* Respond to relevant support tickets and workshop repair requests.

Required Skills & Experience:

The ideal Junior Support Technician will have a great attitude, keen to develop their skills and have a background within manufacturing / assembly. Any test, soldering, fault finding experience and or IT software experience will be an advantage however training will be provided in the majority.

Salary:

£27,000 - £30,000

Hours:

8.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday
