An exciting role has become available at a precision engineering company offering high-end engineered and manufactured solutions.

Job Role: Laboratory Technician

Location: Yeovil

Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday

The Company offers a comprehensive, unrivalled capability across all precision engineering services to the aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors.

This role will include:

Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
Stock control of chemicals.
pH control and chemical analysis
Producing and conducting tests on test panels.
Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray and Coating Weight.
Electrical insulation & conductivity testing.
Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur.
Support production/quality issues.
Writing reports on findings.
Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous improvement and 5S, REACH compliance.
Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.

Skills and experience required:

Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided)
Aerospace/ plating experience (preferable but not required)
English, Science and Math GCSE, or equivalent
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.
