Allen & York are delighted to be working with Maldon Salt to assist in the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor for the business. Maldon Salt is a fourth-generation family-owned business producing pyramid artisan salt since 1882 using the same traditional hand-crafted methods that have served the culinary market in the UK and now globally.

Essentially, a new role for the company, this opportunity works within the QSE department reporting to the QSE Manager to support, advise and ensure compliance within all operations in the business across 3 sites in the Maldon region.

The role is a hands-on role working closely across the manufacturing, distribution and packaging areas, liaising with key individuals to influence improvement and affect positive behaviour change as necessary.

The role will act as the technical expert for the company ensuring compliance for all safety documentation and ensuring that contractors are managed on site as well as carrying out new starter inductions, audit programs and risk assessments as well as any other activities to support the department.

Candidates should have experience of Health & Safety working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment with experience of installing and/or auditing management systems and an ability to communicate and build relationships with key stakeholders.

It is essential that candidates have a strong work ethic and with a focus on collaborative team working able to demonstrate a can-do attitude for developing high standards and innovation for improvement.
NEBOSH Certificate, ideally TechIOSH candidates should have a current driving licence.
