MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client, based in Tyne and Wear, by recruiting a permanent Electronics Technician to join their team. You will be local SME with a tight knit team of Engineers with a great culture and a supportive work environment. The Job You’ll Do;

* Fault finding, repair and service of a variety of electronic equipment, including PCBs, drives, inverters, motors, power supplies etc.

* Attending breakdowns at customer sites when required, either performing on-site fault diagnosis and repair, or bringing faulty components back to company HQ for repair.

* Liaising with on-site engineers at customer locations around the Northeast.

* Occasional component programming (training provided), with a wide range of models from Allen Bradley and Siemens to Mitsubishi.

* Handling installations of components and devices at customer locations.

* Build strong, long-lasting relationships with both customers and the internal team of engineers.

* Working, on occasion, without circuit diagrams.

About You;

* Possess a keen interest in electronics, and a desire to learn and develop within the industry.

* Relevant Electrical/Electronics qualifications or experience (Ideally HND)

* 3+ years industry experience

* Ability to work both independently and within a team.

* IT literate.

* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

* Consistent attendance and work ethic
