Job Description

White Label are working with a highly profitable organisation based between Lancaster and Kendal, who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer. Could you be interested in the opportunity below?

* The role is to oversee and be actively involved with specific projects from brief to delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity, to join a leading company offering a role that will see you developing exciting new products, with key duties including designing, modelling, testing, production of prototypes and delivery into production.

* Developing innovative products and enhancing the product range enabling growth. Co-develop the project plan to meet internal & client budgets and monitor key project milestones. Where appropriate collaboration with other areas of the business and clients to establish design brief, including concept, performance and production criteria.

* Undertaking user-centred design with appreciation for the value of the front-end of the design process. Using 3D CAD software help develop products from initial concept through to delivery, tasks include the creation of client presentations, photorealistic renders for publications, production documentation and installation instructions.

* Key to the role is ensuring all design tasks are considered and complete resulting in qualityproject outcomes. Accountability for budget, deadline focused and drive project success through task completion to delivery. Taking pride in project administration skills including creating company template project folder structures and management of project data.

The company is looking for a Design Engineer or Project Design Engineer with the following experience:

* Mechanical Design or Product Design background

* Degree educated ideally

* Solidworks (or similar 3D experience)

* Beneficial to have experience in photorealistic rendering generation

* Beneficial to have some knowledge of tooling for both castings and plastic mouldings

* Experience in Word, Excel etc.

* Meticulous and ‘thorough’ mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics

* Must have full UK working rights (not in a position to offer sponsorship)

* Must be local to the Lake District or happy to relocate

Package:

* £27k - £35k DOE
