Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a strategic HR Business Partner.

Key responsibilities will include:

*

Leading and embedding the strategic HR agenda within the organisation, interpreting policies and working in partnership with senior managers and their teams;

*

Leading complex strategic projects;

*

Business Partnering;

*

Working with the senior leadership team in setting the long and short-term objectives for the whole of the function, creating strategies and overall goals for their service managers to clearly define and deliver;

*

Challenging, influencing and developing a thorough understanding of the strategic and operational business plans and HR issues;

*

Supporting the review of overall performance of the function and identifying areas of under-performance or areas where opportunity for improvement exists;

*

Supporting the design and implementation of organisational change/cultural change projects by working closely with OD and Change subject matter experts in the organisation;

*

Managing policies;

*

Overview control of the department’s budgets.

The ideal candidate will have:

*

CIPD qualification;

*

Experience as a strategic HR Business Partner within the NHS;

*

The ability to recognise complex legal and technical issues and provide relevant expert advice, particularly around complex ER cases and Employment Tribunal work;

*

Extensive experience of delivering advice and guidance to Senior Managers and Directors, advising on complex employee relations issues, delivering organisational design and change management projects;

*

Influencing and negotiation skills;

*

Ability to review and develop HR systems, policies and processes;

*

Ability to research and interpret legislation, national terms and conditions of employment and other guidance
