Credit Control Assistant in Blackburn - NW Recruitment Services Limited

We are currently recruiting for a client based in the Blackburn area who are looking for a temporary member of staff to join their busy finance department. The ideal candidate needs to have previous credit control and sales ledger experience.
This position will be recruited on a temporary basis for at least two months to cover illness.
Key Responsibilities
Chase debts owed to the company, create & distribute notice letters and ensure that all communications with customers are appropriate.
Process and manage all aspects of banking: BACS, transfers and cheque receipts.
Store and maintain all essential documentation: commission spread-sheets, stop list, credit check scores, and customer information.
Ensure accuracy of customer transactions information and credit notes, invoices and terms of payment documentation as required.
Dealing with up to 500 invoices per month.
Liaise with the Quality Department to arrange and conduct meetings regarding credit notes, queries and query matters, long-term debts, returns and invoices.
Functional Duties
Generate reports and communicate the findings to stakeholders: credit note analysis, daily cash report and monthly cash control.
Review sales debt ledger and manage overdue accounts, queries, write-offs, credit limits and maintain the stop list in accordance with company policy.
Raise any concerns or recommendations for improvement with the Financial Controller and update Sales Ledger Procedures accordingly.
Provide support to the other roles within the Finance Department by assisting with purchasing ledger duties.
Hours of work & rate of pay
You will beworking between 30 34 hours a week and these hours can be done over4 or 5 days
The hourly rate will be between £14.00 - £14.40 an hour
