Job Description

Technology Teacher in Secondary School based in Chichester

Starting ASAP– Long term contract

Pay – £150 - £210

Location – Chichester

Hours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-time

Role Overview:

As a DT Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that ignite students' passion for design, engineering, and problem-solving. From woodworking to electronics, you will guide students through hands-on projects, encouraging them to explore their creativity and develop essential technical skills.

About the School:

The School is a mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 700 students in total. The School is based in Chichester. The school was graded as a Good School in its last Ofsted inspection and continues to perform well. 

Key Responsibilities:

-          Plan and deliver innovative DT lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

-          Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes experimentation and collaboration.

-          Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.

-          Organise extracurricular activities and workshops to extend learning beyond the classroom.

-          Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

-          Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design and Technology.

-          Experience teaching DT at Key Stages 3 and 4, with A-Level experience desirable.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
